Galactig celebrates success as technical partner on two Cymraeg 2050 applications.
£425,000 has been awarded to 26 innovative projects that promote Welsh in the community and Welsh language technology, the Minister for the Welsh Language and Lifelong learning, Eluned Morgan has announced.
Two of these projects are backed by the design and technical expertise of Galactig.
We’re teaming up with Mynyddoedd Pawb to build an exciting augmented reality app to inform walkers along the Clwydian Range about Welsh names for geographical elements and information on places of significant and historical interest. The app plans to nurture a deeper connection between the walker and the rich Welsh culture of their surroundings.
The second project that we’ve been successful in obtaining funding for in partnership with Cered (Menter Iaith Ceredigion) is Ap Bys a Bawd. Aimed at pre-school children, this mixed reality app brings animated characters to life wherever you are, dancing and singing to a collection of Welsh nursery rhymes.
